Natural disasters are deeply unfortunate for those affected. In our country, we face such calamities almost every year, and the southernmost district, Bhola Island, is particularly vulnerable. As part of NBBL’s continuous engagement with nearby communities, we strive to support them with learning, knowledge, and training that help strengthen their resilience against natural disasters.

In line with this approach, NBBL recently organized a Flood Preparedness Training, facilitated by the NGO ‘Grameen Jano Unnayan Sangstha’. The session enhanced the knowledge, readiness, and response capacity of residents living near the power plant. The training aimed to ensure that community members are well-prepared to act swiftly and safely in the event of a flood, thereby minimizing risks to life and property.

The session was highly interactive, with the participation of 30 community members, 08 males and 22 females, who actively engaged in the training.
